Seeking a Summer Corporate Finance Intern
Sinclair Range is looking for a smart and motivated young professional with an interest in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, securities valuation, asset-based lending and/or corporate restructuring.
This position is full time in Toronto or Calgary but, in keeping with Sinclair Range’s virtual office policy, does not require significant in person office time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market, industry and company research
- Build and maintain comprehensive and complex financial models, including rolling monthly financial projections and 13-week cash flow projections
- Prepare company, industry, and market briefing documents
- Assist with preparation and review of engagement letters, term sheets, LOIs and related contracts
- Use S&P Capital IQ to conduct research and financial analysis
- Apply knowledge of accounting principles to inform financial analysis, including International Financial Reporting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Sage Accounting to complete computer-based tasks
- Contribute financial and operations management support to portfolio companies

- Proficiency at Microsoft office
- Working knowledge of accounting software
- Must be able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a positive, professional attitude and demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Must be able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
- Should be highly motivated, independent but able to work within a team in an environment that is fast paced and rapidly changing
