Sinclair Range Week in Review — October 5, 2026
Two loans going to market, what happens to a man who asks for everything, and a side project that went further than I expected. The Inner Circle meets tomorrow.
On the Side
- A podcast series for a mayoral candidate here in Fernie, Harshan Ramadass. Two episodes out, a third before the October 17 vote. Over 50,000 views in a town of 6,500 people
Two Loans Going to Market
- A term sheet out this week from Interim Credit — a priming facility for a very large development project now in a restructuring
- A short-term bridge going to market for a US manufacturer and operator of elevated retreat towers, secured by real estate and equipment
Lesson Learned: Pigs Get Fat, Hogs Get Slaughtered
- A contractor went around us on a large cannabis restructuring where we were CRO and DIP lender. Terminated that night, financing by Sunday evening
- He then claimed far more than his contract allowed, and took what stakeholders in court called absurd positions
- Many businesses are a community. Being the greedy one may not be the right strategy
The Inner Circle: Deals & Capital
- Free, private and live, every two weeks on Zoom. Tomorrow at 3 o’clock Eastern: two pitches and a round table on whether mid-market money is actually tight right now. You register once and we review every request
