There were 221 transactions in the North American Oil & Gas sector in first quarter of 2019, including 69 private placements, 62 public offerings, 50 mergers & acquisitions, 11 buybacks and 29 shelf registrations, with a total value of C$118.4 billion. Total deal volume decreased by 40% over the first quarter of 2018 and transaction value decreased by 23%.
Q1 2019 Metals & Mining Transactions
There were 459 transactions in the North American Metals & Mining sector in first quarter of 2019, including 302 private placements, 34 public offerings, 85 mergers & acquisitions, 4 buybacks and 34 shelf registrations, with a total value of C$164.9 billion. Total deal volume decreased by 12% over the first quarter of 2018 and transaction value increased by 586%.
March 2019 Cannabis Transactions
There were 64 transactions in the North American Cannabis sector in March 2019, including 36 private placements, 6 public offerings, 16 mergers & acquisitions and 6 shelf registrations, with a total value of C$3.1 billion. Total deal volume increased by 73% over March 2018 and transaction value increased by 879%.
